Issue

  • Both cluster network switches report the following events:
[node-1: cshmd: hm.alert.raised:alert]: Alert Id = UnsupportedSwitch_Alert , Alerting Resource = CNS1 raised by monitor ethernet-switch
[node-1: cshmd: hm.alert.raised:alert]: Alert Id = UnsupportedSwitch_Alert , Alerting Resource = CNS2 raised by monitor ethernet-switch
[node-1: cshmd: hm.alert.raised:alert]: Alert Id = SwitchCommunityString_Alert , Alerting Resource = CNS1 raised by monitor ethernet-switch
[node-1: cshmd: hm.alert.raised:alert]: Alert Id = SwitchCommunityString_Alert , Alerting Resource = CNS2 raised by monitor ethernet-switch
[node-2: mgwd: callhome.hm.alert.major:alert]: Call home for Health Monitor process cshm: UnsupportedSwitch_Alert[CNS1].
[node-2: mgwd: callhome.hm.alert.major:alert]: Call home for Health Monitor process cshm: SwitchCommunityString_Alert[CNS1].
  • The output of  system health alert show command and SYSTEM-HEALTH-ALERT.XML section in Autosupport reports the following:

  • In the CSHM-SWITCH-CONFIG.XML section of Autosupport or system switch ethernet show output, it can be seen that the switches are not monitored due to IP address reachability issue:
