During SANtricity OS upgrade controller firmware fails to activate

Issue

During a SANtricity OS upgrade via the SANtricity Web UI, the machine running the browser crashes or the browser window is closed.

After the browser window is re-opened, the following is observed:

  • Recovery Guru reports Controller Offline
  • Major Event Log has an event for Activate controller firmware failed on one controller
