BeeGFS client fails to start after kernel upgrade on Host

  • NetApp EF600 running SANtricity firmware 08.80.00.00 as BeeGFS storage backend
  • BeeGFS client version 7.4.4 on Ubuntu 22.04.4 LTS

Issue

  • After upgrading the kernel from 5.15.0-1053-nvidia to 5.15.0-1107-nvidia, the BeeGFS mount point became unavailable and the  BeeGFS client service being being able to start and remain offline.
  • The BeeGFS client kernel module fails to rebuild automatically and gives  MIN/MAX parameter errors, resulting in missing kernel modules.
