Issue

  • Within E-Series support bundle or AutoSupport, the major-event-log reports FC port constantly flapping. Similarly, these events may be found in SANtricity System Manager under Support > Events.
Extended Fibre Channel link down (greater than one minute) - Host-side: controller in bay A, port 5
Fibre channel link down - Host-side: controller in bay A, port 5
Fibre channel link up - Host-side: controller in bay A, port 5
  • Within E-Series support bundle or AutoSupport, the fcDump command output in the state-capture-data file may show a high amount of bad characters:
