SQL instance is not registered when configuring SQL host or FCI log directory in SnapCenter
Applies to
- SnapCenter Server (SC)
- SnapCenter Plug-In for SQL (SCSQL)
Issue
After selecting the Cluster or SQL Host and selecting Configure Log Directory, the dialog to choose a single host or FCI instance appears, letting you choose an existing SQL instance and a location on a NetApp supported drive letter or mount point for that Cluster or Host.
Committing the change with the Save button brings up the error:
SQL instance <HOSTNAME>\<INSTANCE_NAME> is not registered
Showing an old, and previously deleted SQL instance (i.e. not the one you selected to update), while failing to apply your new setting.
