Issue

  • SCV backups fail after an SVM rename on the storage
  • SVM was originally added as part of a cluster not individually
  • SVM has been removed from SCV and then re-added with the new name
  • Error seen in the SCV backup job log refers to the old SVM name:

    [INF] End GetStorageSystemIdFromCache
    [INF] End GetStorageSystemId
[ERR] Error: The credentials for the storage system <old_SVM_name> is not configured. Resolution: Please check if storage system <old_SVM_name> is resolvable or add an entry to etc/hosts file.
    [INF] End GetLunInfo
[ERR] Error: Failed to determine storage system for the LUN serial number <serial_number>, Target Name: <iscsi_target_name>, Storage System: <old_SVM_name>
