Description

  • The NetApp SnapCenter plug-in for VMware vSphere (SCV) employs SSL encryption for secure communication between the client browser and itself
  • While this will enable encrypted data across the wire, creating a new self-signed certificate or utilizing one's own Certificate Authority (CA) infrastructure or a third-party CA ensures that the certificate is unique for the environment.
  • This article describes how to apply both a self-signed (includes points 1-7) and externally CA signed certificate (from point 8, after having created a separate keystore) for SCV for VMware to Client communication.
