Does OnCommand Insight require Java to be installed outside of the application?

Answer

For a Windows OS install we do not require Java be installed as a prerequisite. Java is bundled and shipped with OCI. For more information about the version you can refer to our OCI release notes.

Additional Information

  • Java is not installed on the windows OS as an application but can bee seen from the java control panel.  Meaning it will not show up in the Control Panel Programs and Features.

  • With Java not installed you can run \SANscreen\java64\bin\javacpl.exe to launch the control panel. 
  • Click the Java tab then View

  • This will show you the location of Java and the version being used inside OCI.
