NetApp StorageGRID Appliances

Description

  • This procedure introduces a way to repurpose/initialize dormant SGA hardware into a new grid. The appliances were previously decommissioned from one grid, running an older version of StorageGRID.
  • Redeploying dormant hardware into a new grid may involve updating the firmware and PGE for the appliance as part of meeting updated minimum requirements for the new version of StorageGRID.
  • There are two parts to the procedure:
    • Clearing the storage controller configuration
    • Preparing the appliance for reinstallation of StorageGRID software.
