Issue

  • During a ONTAP volume migration, a significant and unexpected spike in StorageGRID  archival bucket storage utilization was observed.
  • Both the source and destination ONTAP aggregates were configured to use the same S3 bucket
  • The expectation was that cold data would remain unaffected and no major increase in SG storage utilization would occur.
