Answer

bycast.log reports sequences such as:
  1. S3RQ: Authorizing <bucket_name>  / path_to_object/object of account xxxxxxxxxx for request account id xxxxxxxxxx
  2. S3RQ: GK: Object maybe exists false

This indicates MultiObjectDeletes on a bucket, while the certain objects to be deleted do not exist.

Elsewhere in bycast.log there will be entries like this, which point to those MultiObjectDeletes, which is done using POST commands
S3RQ: EVENT_PROCESS_CREATE - connection=1723029071342704 method=POST name=</bucket_name?delete> auth=<V4> clientIP=<xx.xxx.xxx.xxx>
