Description

The EC clean up tool is designed to remove/purge unneeded data from Storage Nodes.
 
  • This procedure has been tested by NetApp and is safe to implement on production systems. 
  • No data is at risk and no software error has occurred. 
  • Only data deemed as unneeded is flagged. 
  • Unneeded EC data can occur when data marked to be deleted (already triggered by a client side delete) is not fully removed from disk from the Storage Node.
