Is a MTU of 1006 correct when running a ping /MTU test on appliances?

Answer

Yes,the MTU value of 1006 for ping and MTU  test  on the appliance installer page between physical nodes and a virtual nodes  is normal.
If the configured MTU cannot be used ,the  ping test will decrease to see which value does work.Eventually the MTU value will land on 1006 which is the size that works with the "don’t fragment bit" set.
