11.7.0.4 and below hotfix failed to apply on all StorageGRID nodes

Applies to

  • NetApp StorageGRID
  • Combined upgrade procedure from 11.6.0.11 to 11.7.0.4

Issue

  • After performing upgrade from 11.6 to 11.7 with combined hotfix 11.7.0.4, some nodes do not have 11.7.0.4 hotfix applied.
  • Following error message is seen on the affected node's /var/local/log/install.log:

ERROR -- current-hotfix: Unexpected storage-grid-release version "11.7.0". Expecting "11.6.0"

  • Running /var/local/hotfix/current-hotfix --version reports back "11.6.0.<hotfix version>
    ".
