StorageGRID EC rebalance job fails unexpectedly

Issue

  • After initializing the EC rebalance from the admin node, the job fails after some time without any errors in the /var/local/log/ec-rebalance.log
  • During the job progress, rebalance-data status --job-id xxxxxxx does not show any moves.
