StorageGRID clients continue to use old certificate after renewal

Issue

  • After renewing the StorageGRID S3 certificate and the GRID manager UI reporting the renewed certificate, clients report SSL errors and are unable to access S3 endpoint:
    • ERROR: SSL certificate verification failure: [SSL: CERTIFICATE_VERIFY_FAILED] certificate verify failed (_ssl.c:897)
    • ERROR: SSL certificate verification failure: [SSL:  CERTIFICATE_VERIFY_FAILED] certificate verify failed (_ssl.c:618)
  • S3 client still reports using the old certificate even though it was renewed.
