SCV or Veeam restore fails randomly when mounting the cloned datastore

Issue

  • SCV / Veeam restore or clone of an NFS Datastore Backup fails
  • ESX server gets an access denied from one of the ONTAP Cluster nodes when it attempts to mount the new ONTAP flexclone volume
  • SCV vmcontrol_<job>.log reports an error similar to the one below:

ERROR SC01 --- [Thread-001] c.n.a.m.NfsMountStrategy: vob.vmfs.nfs.mount.error.perm.denied:
NFS mount <ip_address>:/Sc123ab1a1-123a-1a00-000a-00000a1a000a failed: The mount request was denied by the NFS server
