  • SCV restores VMs at a VM level.
  • Windows OS-specific restore operations are not performed by SCV.
  • AD restoration needs to be performed by the Windows OS level after SCV restore operation.

Additional Information

  • VM-Generation ID changes when restoring from backup with policy with VM consistency enabled.
  • VM-Generation ID is restored to the value at the time backup was taken, when restoring from backup with policy with VM consistency disabled.
