Issue

  • Extensive use of the SQL VSS Agent during backups.
  • Volume shadow copies on SQL transaction log volume filled the volume causing the volume to go offline, SQL Server crash, and the 'SqlServerWriter' to be left in a failed state.

Error: Snapshots were found, but they were outside of your allowed context.
Try removing them with the backup application which created them.
