SnapCenter scheduled backups do not run after upgrade

  • ONTAP 9.X

Issue

  • Scheduled SnapCenter backups are not running as per the defined schedule
  • Manual backups can be executed successfully
  • Issue first observed after a SnapCenter upgrade
  • RabbitMQ management interface (http://localhost:15672) was not accessible
  • Error messages observed in scheduler logs:
BrokerUnreachableException: Failed to create connection. RabbitMQ might be down. Error: RabbitMQ.Client.Exceptions.BrokerUnreachableException: None of the specified endpoints were reachable
RabbitMQ.Client.Exceptions.AuthenticationFailureException: ACCESS_REFUSED 
System.InvalidOperationException: Cannot create channel because connection is not established.
