Issue

  • When adding an ONTAP cluster to SnapCenter, the cluster is added successfully, but the Storage Virtual Machines (SVMs) do not appear as discovered under the cluster in the SnapCenter console.
  • Manual addition of SVMs works, but automatic discovery from the cluster does not.
SMCore log excerpt:
Storage '<ONTAP_CLUSTER_NAME>' have '2' vservers.
VServer: <SVM1_NAME>, Major version: 1, Minor Version: <#>
[Cache] Update the SVM [<SVM1_NAME>] with cluster [<ONTAP_CLUSTER_NAME>] context is skipped as this is registered explicitly in SnapCenter
VServer: <SVM2_NAME>, Major version: 1, Minor Version: <#>
[Cache] Update the SVM [<SVM2_NAME>] with cluster [<ONTAP_CLUSTER_NAME>] context is skipped as this is registered explicitly in SnapCenter
