Issue

  • SnapCenter Custom Plug-Ins backup fail with the error
    • Plug-In services are currently not running. Please run the command systemctl start scc
  • When checking the scc services they indicate running and the following is also seen when checking the status of the spl service
    • /var/opt/snapcenter/spl/etc/spl.properties: line 23: SCC_PORT: command not found
      SPL:Checking status of SnapCenter Plugin Loader
      SPL:SnapCenter Plugin Loader is running as process 29817
  • After an upgrade or os patching the SnapCenter host services is seen as stopped
    • com.netapp.plugincreator.agent.nextgen.Starter -SCC-ENG-00166: Port [9090] is already in use. Trying for next available port.
      INFO [main] 105 com.netapp.plugincreator.agent.nextgen.Starter -SCC-ENG-00167: Next available port found : [random port number]
      DEBUG [main] 152 com.netapp.plugincreator.common.util.PortHelper -Reloading SPL Configuration started.
      ERROR [main] 190 com.netapp.plugincreator.common.util.PortHelper -SCC_PORT is updated in the SPL properties but reloading the SPL configuration failed. Manually restart SPL service to make sure the SPL communicates with the plug-in on the correct port.
