SCV management GUI keeps showing vCenter connection error even after the issue has been fixed

Issue

  • In case SCV encountered a network connectivity issue with vCenter when SCV service starts up, SCV management GUI keeps showing vCenter connection error even after the issue has been fixed

vCenter Plugin connection has failed. ipaddress/hostname is not valid, or possible network connectivity issue

  • vmcontrol.log shows:

c.n.a.v.s.VCenterCredentialsManager      : status is: INVALID_IPADDRESS_OR_HOSTNAME
c.n.a.v.s.VCenterCredentialsManager      : reason is: ipaddress/hostname is not valid, or possible network connectivity issue

  • Backup jobs run normally
