Applies to

  • SnapCenter Plug-in for VMware vSphere (SCV) 4.6
  • Previously did one of the following operations
    • Rename of a VM or a Datastore which belongs to a resource group (RG)
    • Remove of a VM that belongs to a resource group from inventory and register a new VM by using the vmx file of the removed VM

Issue

When creating or editing a resource group,  SCV shows error:

Failed to modify Resource Group : The instance of entity type 'nsm_sm_object' cannot be tracked
because another instance with the same key value for {'nsm_sm_object_id'} is already being tracked.
When attaching existing entities, ensure that only one entity instance with a given key value is attached. Consider using
'DbContextOptionsBuilder.EnableSensitiveDataLogging' to see the conflicting key values.
