Issue

  • Within VM Console via vSphere Client, SCV virtual appliance fails to boot to login prompt:
Booting SnapCenter Plug-in for VMware vSphere virtual appliance... Please wait...
  • Upon pressing Alt+F2, the console displays messages:

[ TIME ] Timed out waiting for device <DEVICE>
[DEPEND] Dependency failed for File System <FILESYSTEM>
[DEPEND] Dependency failed for /jail.
...
You are in emergency mode. After logging in, type "journalctl -xb" to view
system logs, "systemctl reboot" to reboot, "systemctl default" or ^D to
try again to boot into default mode.

Cannot open access to console, the root account is locked.
