SCV 5.0 fails to delete snapshots when applying retention

Issue

SnapCenter Plug-In for VMware 5.0 fails to delete snapshots when retention is applied during a backup operation. In some scenarios, the snapshot that should have been deleted when the retention was applied is unable to be manually deleted from the UI.
 
From the job logs one of the following errors can be seen
  • Remove Snapshot snapshotname on volname is failed. Error: 102
    Failed to remove the snapshot snapshotname on volume volname., Exception:Calculating reclaimable space is not supported for FlexGroup volumes.

     
  • Failed to remove the snapshot snapshotname on volume volname., Exception:Server temporarily unavailable. Try again later. Server temporarily unavailable. Try again later.
