SCSQL cannot find the footprint of the storage hosting the DBs on the SQL VM's

  • SnapCenter Plug-In for Vsphere 4.4 to 5.0P2 (SCV)
  • SnapCenter Server 4.4 to 5.0P2 (SC)

Issue

The Storage Footprint of the VMDK disk cannot be found and VMCONTROL and SMCORE logs show the below errors respectively:
  • Failed to get the storage system for host resource : Name : /folder1, Type: SDNASDir
  • Could not get storage mapping for virtual disk 6000c00000000050000f000000b0001a. SnapCenter Plug-in for VMware vSphere might not have discovered this disk.
