SCSQL Clone Failure due to Key Source Mismatch

  • Cloning SQL databases from ANF volumes
  • Environments using Azure Key Vault for encryption

Issue

When cloning SQL databases using SnapCenter on ANF, the following error is observed in the SnapCenter GUI:

Failed to clone the volume <VOLUME_NAME>:
Encryption key source specified for the new volume ('Microsoft.NetApp') restored from a snapshot, conflicts with encryption key source of the source volume ('Microsoft.KeyVault'). Please specify 'Microsoft.KeyVault' as the encryption key source for the new volume and try again.
