Issue

Attempting to discover a SQL Always On Availability Group during a backup operation fails with the below errors

  • SnapManagerWeb*.log
Exception when connecting the Cluster Host with IP :Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED))
  • Windows System Event Log
Event ID  10036:  The server-side authentication level policy does not allow the user <domain\sc_user_SID> from address <sc_ipaddress> to activate DCOM server. Please raise the activation authentication level at least to RPC_C_AUTHN_LEVEL_PKT_INTEGRITY in client application.
