SCO AIX database discovery failed due to Unexpected Operation occurred

Issue

SnapCenter Plug-In for Oracle on an AIX host backups and discovery jobs fail with the error
An exception thrown during the execution of method findCurrentDatabaseState and the exception message is Operation Exception occured during oracle databaseconnection, reason: Unexpected Operation occurred.
 
From the SPL log we can see the following error
Could not load program /opt/NetApp/snapcenter/spl/bin/sc_command_executor.bin:
Dependent module libstdc++.a(libstdc++.so.6) could not be loaded.
Could not load module libstdc++.a(libstdc++.so.6).
System error: No such file or directory
