SCO and HANA 6.0 to 6.0.1P1 leave Snapshots behind on manual backup deletion

  • SnapCenter 6.0 to 6.0.1P1
  • SnapCenter Plug-in for Oracle (SCO)
  • SnapCenter Plug-in for SAP HANA (SCHANA)

Issue

When manually deleting an Oracle or HANA backup under the following circumstances:
  • using the GUI, with the Trashcan Symbol, and selecting "Delete selected backups from all resources"
  • using Powershell on the SnapCenter Server with Remove-SmBackup
  • using sccli from the Linux Oracle host with Remove-SmBackup

the snapshot on the storage is not deleted.

Note: No error is seen in the GUI or on the sccli or Powershell command line.
