Mount of datastore backup in SCV fails with "VMFS volume is already mounted" error

Issue

When attempting to mount the backup of a datastore in SCV, the mount fails with the following errors seen:
 
vmcontrol_<JobID>.log
 
ERROR snapcenter --- [qtp474675244-17] c.n.a.v.VsphereService                   : A VMFS volume with the same UUID '<Volume_UUID>' is already mounted in the datacenter.
