Clone Lifecycle job fails with "Failed to mount storage resource, error is Failed to create the volume clone.'"

Issue

  • SCSQL Clones randomly failing in SnapCenter with error :

Failed to clone resources, error isMount operation failed with error Failed to mount storage resource, error is Failed to create the volume clone.'

  • SMCore logs:

2024-03-29T04:30:51.8943418-05:00 DEBUG SMCore_103293 PID=[3676] TID=[36] ex.Message : The running command stopped because the preference variable "ErrorActionPreference" or common parameter is set to Stop: Internal Error. Failed to lookup Snapshot copy tags for "<Snapshot_Name>". Error: Bad Snapshot name.
