Answer

  • Although SnapCenter supports some of the disks presented to a Hyper-V VM, SC does not have the ability to backup the entire VM. 
  • SMHV can back up entire VMs but is out of version support from 3rd November 2025.
  • NetApp Backup and Recovery service with NetApp Console can be used for protecting Hyper-V environments.
