SRM Failover Test fails with a general system error

Issue

When running a Failover Test, the test fails with the following error:

 Failed to create snapshots of replica devices. A general system error occurred: N2Dr3Xml20XmlValidateExceptionE missing required attribute 'id' (9
You may also get the following error:
 
  Error Code 2066
  Description: Failed to present device to ESX host.
  Fix Hint: Ensure that the ESX host supplied in the request has the proper information, and is set up on the controller.
