OTV 10: Storage backend is already on boarded from global scope

Issue

  • Adding a cluster to Storage Backends menu in the OTV 10 plugin within vSphere fails with the following error: Error occurred while adding storage backend: Unable to onboard storage backend, Error occurred while adding storage backend: Failed to add Storage Backend: https://<hostname>:9053/api/v1/storage/storage-backends. Error: Storage backend with specified hostname #.#.#.# is already on boarded from global scope.
  • The cluster has already been successfully added to the Storage Backends menu in the ONTAP Tools manager at https://loadBalanceIP:8443/virtualization/ui/
