VASA Provider : Snapshots fail when running VMs on vVol

Issue

Taking snapshots using SCV or VMware VM snapshots of a VM that resides on a vVol fail resulting in the following error.

Cannot complete the operation. See the event log for details. Run Resource Group operation failed for Resource Group Dev_vVOL. 
(Error: Unable to discover resources on SCV: Unable to connect to ONTAP tools for VMware : Server returned HTTP response code: 500 for URL: https://172.20.128.54:8143/api/rest/3.0/admin/vvols?vvol-uuids=naa.600a09803831416f553f4f70724b595a%2Cnaa.600a09803831416f553f4f70724b5973%2Cnaa.600a09803831416f553f4f70724b5976%2Cnaa.600a09803831416f553f4f70724b592f%2Cnaa.600a09803831416f553f4f70724b5957)
