Answer

  • The cluster agent connection is what  is used to monitor clusters via REST.
  • Cloud Agent is a new way of collecting data from ONTAP which uses REST API based calls to fetch monitoring data from Ontap instead of ZAPI.
  • Deleting the user "clus-agent-XXXX" will break the cluster agent connection between the application and ONTAP.
  • Deleting the cloud agent connection will break the cluster agent connection between the application and ONTAP.
