No NTP service available on Active IQ Unified Manager 9.13P1 OVA

Issue
- AIQUM is failing to sync its clock to NTP servers.
- Changing ntp server from maintenance console fails with the following error:
sed: can't read /etc/systemd/timesyncd.conf: No such file or directory
- Upon trying to use any NTP related options in maintenance console, or setting it up manually from diagnostic shell, one finds neither ntpd nor systemd-timesyncd are installed.
systemd-timesyncdcould not be found on AIQUMsystemctl status systemd-timesyncdUnit systemd-timesyncd.service could not be found.
- Attempting to use timedatectl to set up NTP throws this message:
# timedatectl set-ntp true
Failed to set ntp: NTP not supported
