Answer

  • Yes, AIQUM generally supports ONTAP versions higher than its own version (N+1)
  • For example, AIQUM 9.11 supports ONTAP 9.12 (N+1)
  • However some newly added features in  newer ONTAP version may not be supported by AIQUM older version
    • Older versions of Unified Manager may not be able to report on features  first introduced in newer versions of ONTAP
    • It is recommended to upgrade Unified Manager prior to performing an Ontap upgrade.
