After updating Java on the Active IQ Unified Manager host, services will not start

Active IQ Unified Manager 9.x (Binary Version RHEL/CentOS)

Issue

After applying Java updates manually to RHEL/CentOS servers which host Active IQ Unified Manager, the OCIE services will not start.

From within the logs  it will be noted that this error condition has only been present since the  Java update.

Ocumserver.log:

Post install log:

  • /opt/netapp/essentials/bin/commonfunctions.sh: line 89: [: /usr/lib/jvm/java-11-openjdk-11.0.15.0.9-2.el7_9.x86_64: binary operator expected          
  • /opt/netapp/essentials/bin/commonfunctions.sh: line 89: [: /usr/lib/jvm/java-11-openjdk-11.0.14.0.9-2.el7_9.x86_64: binary operator expected  
  •  /opt/netapp/essentials/bin/commonfunctions.sh: line 112: [:too many arguments
