AIQUM login fails with invalid or foreign referer

  • Active IQ Unified Manager 9.16 and later (AIQUM)
  • Windows Server and virtual appliance (OVA) deployments

Issue

  • Login to the Active IQ Unified Manager (AIQUM) WebUI fails when the browser reaches AIQUM through a reverse proxy or jump-host HTTPS session.
  • The same account logs in when the WebUI is opened on the AIQUM host using the AIQUM hostname or IP address.
  • The audit.log file contains:
[:WARN]::WEB:err:[...]::Blocked request with invalid or foreign referer "<proxy_url>", requesting URL: https://<aiqum_host>/login
