Applies to

  • Active IQ Unified Manager (AIQUM) 9.18
  • ONTAP MetroCluster IP (MCC-IP)

Issue

  • AIQUM repeatedly raises the event MetroCluster IP inter site connectivity status is down (often about every 15 minutes).
  • ONTAP / MetroCluster status is healthy (CLI / System Manager show no real inter-site failure).
  • Cluster certificates are valid.
  • Storage Management → Cluster Setup → Edit rediscovery does not clear the alert.
  • Disabling mTLS in the AIQUM database and/or removing aiqum_mtls_*.keystore files under /opt/netapp/essentials/jboss/server/onaro/cert/ does not stop the alerts.

Example au.log pattern (REST poll for interconnects fails):

ERROR [...] c.n.u.RestUtil - Fetching of details from Ontap failed ...
... /api/cluster/metrocluster/interconnects?fields=node,partner_type,adapter,state,type,mirror,interfaces
