  • The final version release of the SolidFire OpenStack backend driver does support MPIO

  • Multiple iSCSI paths per volume are not supported

Additional Information

  •  MPIO for the SolidFire backend driver was left unfinished when the development work on the SolidFire OpenStack backend driver ceased
  • The latest release of the driver enables Linux MPIO software usage, limited to a single ISCSI path per volume
  • Testing demonstrated the desired performance by adding extra network paths instead of relying on multiple ISCSI paths per volume
