NetApp Hardware Universe (HWU)
  • HWU is where we document our HW parts and firmware supported lists
  • Using HWU you can check for example:
    • IF platform X, supported with ONTAP version Y
    • IF disk X can be inserted into Shelf Y, or supported by ONTAP version Z
    • IF card X can be inserted to platform Y, with ONTAP version Z, in Motherboard Slot W
NetApp Interoperability Matrix Tool (IMT)
  • IMT is where we document our multivendor configuration supported lists
  • Using IMT you can check for example:
    • IF tool X can work with protocol Y
    • IF product version X is supported with ONTAP version Y
