  • No, SCF does not support partial file restores
  • Explanation:
    • SCF can only perform volume restores
    • A volume restore operation will overwrite and remove all newer snapshots subsequent to the current snapshot being restored to
    • If data is needed from an older snapshots but you want to preserve newer snapshots, create a clone of the snapshot that data is needed from, mount and pull the data directly off of clone
    • Once data is captured, you can delete the clone without impacting existing SCF snapshots
