Unable to add SM destination SVM to SDW: Unable to modify or add transport protocol. Failed to get Data ONTAP version running on the storage system

Issue

SM updates from SDW failing to add the destination SVM to the Transport Protocol Settings (TPS)
When adding the destination SVM in the TPS, get the error:
Unable to modify or add transport protocol. Failed to get Data ONTAP version running on the storage system
