SMHV backup fails because VM is recognized by multiple hosts

Issue

  • SMHV backup report shows error:

Backup task failed to succeed. Error: Vss Requestor - Backup Components failed.Could not find component \<VM ID> of writer {<Writer ID>}.

  • There is a host in which PowerShell command GET-VM shows that Status of the VM is Operating normally.
  • There is also another host in which GET-VM shows that Status of the same VM is Cannot connect to virtual machine configuration storage.
