OnCommand Unified Manager: Observed aggregate over-commit warnings

Issue

  • Aggregates show an extreme over-commit capacity even when the volumes that are being provisioned from resource pools are less than five percentage of the total aggregate. This is causing threshold and alert issues.
  • OnCommand Unified Manager (UM) reports an aggregate over-commitment with the following error message:

A risk was generated by Cluster FQDN that requires your attention.
Risk - Aggregate Overcommitted Impact Area - Protection Severity - Error Source - Cluster FQDN:aggr Trigger Condition - The overcommitted threshold set at 100% is breached. 101.77 TB (628.91%) of 16.18 TB is committed. 1.96 TB (12.10%) is used. Description - Alerting for Aggregates
