Single Mode VIF is inaccessible: VIF status reports the single mode VIF as Broke

Issue

  • Second-level VIF status shows as 'Broke'
  • In the 'vif status' output, 'Strike Count' indicates '10 of 10':
    vifSingle: 2 links, transmit 'none', VIF Type 'single_mode' fail 'default'
